The project Zero is the project for creating an electric motorbike that expels zero pollution to the environment. It has been said that the bike is being prepared as per the principle of electric trains. The Bike is supposed to be equipped with an electric motor with about 30 KW (40 horsepower) power. It has been estimated that the bike can move 230 KM when it is fully charged. The powerful onboard charger of this bike can charge it up to 80% only in 2 hours. The company is planning to launch DC Fast charging which can charge its battery up to 80% within 20 minutes.
Collaboration with ION Energy
The Mumba-based ION Energy has collaborated with the Yatri Motorcycles. This company was established in 2016 and provides efficient energy storage systems. The Yatri Motorcycles will be taking Patented Battery Management Platform from ION Energy. The ION Energy platforms help the electric vehicle to run on lower-cost, provide better acceleration, and lower the charging time.
The Yatri Motorcycles is planning to develop 50 limited edition electric bikes this year. The company has set the aim of producing 500 more bikes under Project Zero within a few years. If the company is able to produce the Project Zero bikes as per its plan then we can see many Project Zero bikes in the street within March 2020.
Further features of Project Zero Bikes
The design of the bike has been created with inspiration from Café Racer. The next feature of this bike is that it has a dashboard with a 7” Full-HD display system. The app installed on the screen is called Yatri Hub which will provide the rider with every information and statistic related to the Bike. It shows the battery percentage and other stats. This dashboard also provides the rider with information about the amount of money saved by not using petrol and the amount of carbon dioxide which is not expelled to the environment because the bike is an electric bike.
